A Proper Introduction for Sarah Parker

by Ryan on December 8, 2005

I originally introduced Sarah when I wrote the first post for this blog. But I never really told you much about her. So I’m now going to give her a proper introduction.

Here are the things you should know about Sarah Parker.

1. She writes a personal blog called “Going Bananas“. (A metaphor for her life…? I don’t know.)

2. She’s 28 years old, has been married for 6 years to a preacher and programmer/web developer. (Yes, it’s the same man.)

3. She has 3 children age 4 and under. Two of them are identical twins.

4. Sarah started becoming very interested in health when she realized she was responsible for her children’s health. In her own words, it “just hit me like a ton of bricks.”

5. Sarah lives in Fort Worth, TX, although she is originally from Malaysia.

6. Sarah has been a vegan for 4 years. She practices a scientific philosophy of health called Natural Hygiene, “which incorporates a high raw food lifestyle among other things.”

7. Sarah says, “I would like to save the world in a bigger way some day, but for now am happily busy being a homeschooling SAHM to three healthy, sweet kids.” (SAHM stands for “stay at home mom”.)

Hopefully this information that Sarah so graciously provided will give you a better feel for who she is and where she’s coming from.

Sarah was the first person to volunteer to help me write The Health Blog, and for that I’m grateful. She brings a very unique perspective, one that I think you’ll benefit from as we go along.
