FoxNews.com is usually more up my husband’s alley – I wait knowing he’ll forward me the interesting stories. Tonight, I was sitting here just surfing my favorite websites, and spontaneously decided to read Fox News all by my little self. The following story just happened to catch my eye:
Bausch & Lomb Asks Stores to Pull ReNu
ReNu is a contact lens cleaning solution. They aren’t recalling ALL products from the ReNu line, just the ones with “MoistureLoc.” Apparently, they have traced it back to an outbreak of fungal eye infection that can cause blindness. Eeeek.
Just so you know, I’m not very loyal to contact solution brands. I buy whatever hits my fancy. Generally, the 5-minute ones are my preference. But I thought, lets play it safe and go see what I’m using right now.
Lo and behold, on my dresser – a bottle of Bausch & Lomb ReNu with MoistureLoc contact lens cleaning solution. Guess I’ll be hitting the stores tomorrow for a new bottle of anything else. And maybe I should start reading Fox News every day while I’m on a roll.

Whoa! That’s crazy, Sarah!
I’ve twice tried to start wearing contacts, then have just stuck with my glasses. Most recently, I just never ordered the contacts, even though I got a prescription. :-0
Thanks for the heads up on the cleaning solution. I’ll probably be getting contacts soon for summer sports. :-)
